Description
Mozart wrote his Horn Quintet in 1781 or 1782 for Joseph Leutgeb. It slightly predates the horn concertos. Not much is written about the Horn Quintet, but the little there is tends to mention the use of two violas in the ensemble (violin, two violas, cello, and horn). This edition is transcribed for horn and standard string quartet by Bill Holcombe and Bill Holcombe, Jr. The set includes a score and parts for horn in F and E-flat.
