Inspired by older, more traditional acoustic sound, Taylor’s Gold Label Collection reveals a rounder, warmer, more robust flavor of acoustic tone – a sound unlike anything Taylor has previously offered. Master builder Andy Powers’ sonic recipe for the collection includes three key innovations: new body shapes, a fanned variant of his V-Class bracing platform and a revolutionary long-tenon Action Control Neck joint.
This prototype features a modified Grand Concert shaped body.Solid Indian rosewood and torrefied Sitka spruce channel rosewood’s deep lows, rich trebles and blooming overtones with impressive power and dynamic range. Boasting crisp, understated details that channel the Gold Label Collection’s workhorse spirit, including cream-colored “Crest” inlays on the fretboard and peghead, cream body binding with black/white/black purfling, and a cream single-ring rosette with black/white/black purfling.
